Design Legends Gala 2009
The 6th annual Design Legends Gala will take place on Thursday, September 17 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.
The AIGA Design Legends Gala is an annual fundraising event honoring those whose work inspires designers of all ages, sets the bar for creativity and innovation and defines the design profession as we know it. Funds raised at the Gala benefit the AIGA Design Archives at the Denver Art Museum, Worldstudio AIGA Scholarships, initiatives to make the profession more inclusive and diverse, and the Legacy Campaign, an endowment to secure the future of AIGA.
Design Legends Gala 2008
The fifth annual Design Legends Gala was held on Thursday, September 18, at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers (23rd Street at the Hudson River) in New York City. This event honored 2008 recipients of:
- The AIGA Medal: Gail Anderson, Clement Mok and LeRoy Winbush
- The AIGA Corporate Leadership Award: Design Within Reach and Harley-Davidson
- The AIGA Fellow Award
- The Winterhouse Awards for Design Writing & Criticism
- The 2008/2009 Worldstudio AIGA Scholarships
